LITHUANIA
 
Location - situated on the eastern coast of the Baltic Sea and borders on Latvia, Belarus, Poland and the Kaliningrad region of the Russian Federation
Area – 65,300 sq. km
Population – 3,254 million
Ethnic composition: Lithuanian 83%, Russian 4.8%, Poles 6%, Belarusian 1.1%, Ukrainian 0.7%, Jews 0.1%
Main religion – Roman Catholic
State language – Lithuanian, which belongs to the Baltic branch of the Indo-European languages.
Capital – Vilnius. Other bigger cities: Kaunas, Klaipėda (a port), Šiauliai, Panevežys.
Currency – EURO

LATVIA

Ethnic composition: Latvian 57.7%, Russian 29.6%, Belarusian 4%, Ukrainian 2.7%, Polish 2.5 %, 
Lithuanian 1.4%
Religion – Lutheran, Roman Catholic, Russian Orthodox 
State language – Latvian, which belongs to the Baltic branch of the Indo-European languages
Capital – Riga, other bigger cities: Daugavpils, Liepaja (a port).
Currency – EURO

ESTONIA

Ethnic composition – Estonian 67.9%, Russian 25.6%, Ukrainian 2.1%, Belarusian 1.3%, Finn 0.9% 
Religion – Evangelical Lutheran, Orthodox, other Christian (Methodist, Adventist, Roman Catholic, Pentecostal) 
State language – Estonian
Capital – Tallinn, other bigger cities: Tartu, Narva, Kohtla-Jarve, Parnu.
